After a whirlwind wedding and event season, the Snyder team is taking this holiday week to rest, recoup, and relax with friends and family. Not only do we consider ourselves lucky that we get to provide entertainment for couples' weddings, but we are thankful to be able to work with amazing professionals, brides and grooms, and each other. While we still have a round of December holiday parties and weddings, we wanted to take a look back at our awesome couples from this past year! We thank you for letting us be a part of such major moments in your lives, and we are thankful to be able to do what we do!

Jon Acuff posted that quote a week before Halloween. I saw it, took a mental note, and added that to my "to blog about" list. I did some research, my holiday loving friends. Since my mom is a firm believer in not playing Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, I want to be sure to have a Thanksgiving playlist prepped.  I feel like the event should have an amazing soundtrack going, but Thanksgiving has always been a challenging holiday to plan music for because there isn't a list of popular Thanksgiving hits. Low and behold, Billboard.com has that list. As Billboard describes this list, "This is music about food, giving thanks, and the holiday." Not only are these songs upbeat and fun, but they are perfect for the season of thanks and giving! Think of this list as the pre-game to your ultimate Christmas playlist!

It's Monday, and that means it's time for your weekly dose of music news! It's the end of the year, and each week it seems there are new music breakouts, new albums dropping, and artists diving into new genres. While it wasn't surprising when T. Swift announced that she was officially a pop artist (formerly considered country), we have all been waiting for the announcement of Justin Timberlake to record a country record. The CMA Awards were just a taste of what JT could bring to country music, and last week his single "Drink You Away" officially hit the radio airwaves. We all went crazy, again. Not only did JT drop a country single, but we had a hip hop comeback single, Indie veterans release a new hit, and a new love song from an up-and-comer.

This Monday our team is coming off the busiest October to date follow by starting November with 10 events in it's first week. Least to say, they are all recovering today! I've given them a little break from DJ Diaries and wanted to do a break out series, New Music Mondays! Many of our clients look to the Top 40 hits list to help add music to their event playlists. So, this series will not only recognize new chart climbing hits, but it may also open new musical doors to artists and songs you may not be so familiar with! November has a plethora of huge album releases: Adele, Justin Bieber, Tim McGraw, and Ellie Goulding are only naming a few! This first edition will be a delightful recap of the new music that's graced our ears in the first week of November.

I almost sang a Glee Christmas song this morning on the way to work. I quickly changed it because it's my personal policy not transition to holiday mode until Thanksgiving weekend. While I may not be one to start my holiday planning early, it's not too early to start planning your company holiday party! We started getting calls about holiday parties back in August. Yes, people, that's how far out the planning begins. It's not too late to start now! Most people dread attending their company holiday bash, but it doesn't have to be that way! Let's plan a holiday party that your guests want to attend!

This bride is a special family friend of the Snyder Entertainment team. When Hope reached out to Brian about her wedding, we were so excited to be involved! Ken and Hope had a beautiful wedding at Rippavilla Plantation in Spring Hill, TN. Brad Ford was there to keep her guests on the dance floor. There wasn't a moment where Hope was sitting - she danced all night long! Darcy Ferris Photography caught the priceless moments of the night and shared them with us!

Ladies and gentlemen, it's one of my favorite times of the year! It's that time when Pantone releases their top colors for the next season! Pantone is known for leading the pack when it comes to setting the tone (pun intended) for the next seasons fashions and trends. The spring 2016 color selection is possibly one of my favorites that they've released. It's the perfect mix of rose and pink tones with bright bursts of buttercup yellow and fiesta orange and calming hues of snorkel and serenity blues. Back in July, we had the pleasure of working with one of the sweetest couples, Annie and Danny, to plan the entertainment for their Mint Springs Farm wedding. Their wedding was very unique because we were able to work closely with their band, Mo's Sol Band. We had a blast coordinating different songs and transitioning from live music to more mixed DJ music with them. It certainly added a special touch to Annie and Danny's night!
