Highlights:
This was a really fun wedding from start to finish! Ellie and Shea had great friends and family that were all excited to be there from the ceremony prelude through the sparkler send off. After a super sweet ceremony, outdoor cocktail hour, it was time for the reception. The bridal party made their entrance to the song "Love Train," which started the party! Brad said that his favorite part was the first dance song choice. Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass put out a song called "This Guy is in Love With You" in 1968. Their first dance is a perfect example of a young couple going out and doing something unique and out of the box. They found a song that was older, that would always mean something to them and had the virtue of not being used by everyone else. Their dance was romantic, classy and funny all at the same time. Brad said this was literally one of the best first dances that he has seen in a long time. After a wonderful dinner by Chef Penelope, it was time to start toasts and Father/Daughter, Mother/Son dances. When it was time for special dances, another great moment was the dedication after the Mother/Son dance. Neither of their parents had a first dance at their weddings so we played "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" and so Shea + Ellie gave their parents a special moment to forever remember, by surprising their parents with their very own official "First Dance." It was very moving. Shea and Ellie then joined their parents and finally all their guests joined as well for the rest of the song to officially open the dance floor. This also goes down as one of our favorite special song moments. The dance floor was super active, and it felt uplifting! This was a classic wedding with a lot of Motown and Top 40, and another great reminder that the older songs really go over well with all ages. Brad and Casey sort of threw back to radio days by doing a couple of "2 Plays." They used this to set up the bouquet toss until the end of the garter toss. We did a "2 Play Beyonce" with Survivor into Jumpin' Jumpin' for the bouquet toss and then we did a "2 Play Marvin Gaye" with Sexual Healing for the garter toss into Let's Get It On. It was fun and translated very well, encouraging everyone to get on the dance floor to end the night. Ellie and Shea also included a photo booth set-up for their reception, which was packed all night long with guests in and out! The Bride and Groom took some fun pictures in the booth, and enjoyed looking at their scrapbook of hilarious pictures of friends and family. Again, this wedding was truly one to remember; full of incredible moments, all around love, and just a really cool couple. Congratulations again Ellie + Shea! Cheers to a lifetime of love!
