{DJ Diaries} Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee's Stars for Wishes 2015

Some of the most rewarding moments come from our opportunities to be the entertainment for  nonprofit events. This weekend we were honored to be a special part of Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee's Stars for Wishes Late Party event.

Bo Jennings from Cumberland Hospitality Group was putting the Late Party together, and he happens to be one of our biggest fans for DJ services. He came to us for this event because he wanted to go above and beyond with this year's Late Party. We were up for the challenge!

The Event: Approximately 700 people attended this fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Brian served as the emcee for the event taking donations for song requests...some songs fetched up to $100 per request!  Thames Jackson was our photo booth lead. With the photo booth stationed at the front of the stage, it provided extra entertainment as groups passed through decked out in boas, cowboy hats, and smiles. We wanted to please the large, diverse crowd, so we added classic music videos along with the some of today's most popular videos to create a really cool club feel that would have everyone on the dance floor.

The Music: One of the highlights of the event was Journey piano player, Jonathan Cain, performing one of the greatest rocks songs ever, live for the attendees.  We auctioned off the opportunity to get on stage and sing along with him.  A group of buddies put in $1500 for the opportunity to sing "Don't Stop Believin" with Jonathan Cain, the songwriter himself.  We then brought Street Corner Symphony onstage, and they did an absolute rockin' version of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mar's "Uptown Funk." The crowd went wild for more.  We then auctioned off an opportunity for one lucky attendee to sing the theme song to Fresh Prince of Bel Air. It was incredible to see the entire ballroom waving their hands and singing "She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air."

The Entertainment: Brian was spinning tunes from 9:00 - 11:30, and J Clark took over from 11:30 until 1AM for the dance party.  Special guests performances from Gary Allan and Scotty McCreery kicked off the night before heading into the Late Party.

Our friends over at Details Nashville owned the back portion of the ballroom with their slow motion booth.  This is such a fun attraction at events. Take a look for yourself!

We were honored and thankful to work alongside some very generous people to make the Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee's Stars for Wishes event such a memorable night! Check out all of the ways YOU can help Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee here.
