New Years Eve in Nashville has become a huge deal as our city expects to have roughly a hundred thousand visitors flocking here to ring in 2017. This holiday is notorious for producing high expectations, and as usual, much of the world is pondering how to make it special. For some locals the traditional downtown guitar drop celebration is the only way to go, and thanks to our friends at Eventbrite, getting your tickets to some of Nashville's hottest parties has never been easier. For others of us who don't enjoy fighting large crowds, we can't wait to spend the new year in the comfort of our own home or at a friends party (#BAP). Rather than leaving the evening to chance, joining the masses of horn-blowers, or falling asleep in front of the TV before the traditional ball-drop, the best way to guarantee you'll ring in the new year in grand style is to throw your own fetê. However you decide to spend your New Years Eve, we hope that you enjoy every second of it. Which is why we want to make sure that you're thoroughly informed abut all of the fun festivities happening downtown, and how to easily DIY your own NYE party using some of our own tips and party hacks. Start 2017 in style with some of Snyder's favorite ways to celebrate..

DIY THIS NYE
Are you a local that doesn't want to fight long lines + crowds this New Years Eve? Well we have a solution for you: invite a few close friends to ring in the New Year with an easy, intimate party using some of our favorite simple tips, tricks and hacks for your festive fetê at home! If that sounds like too much work amid the holiday hullabaloo, think again. It's not how much money or time you spend that makes the evening memorable. The secrets to success are a straightforward organizational strategy, simple yet glamorous, and a few clever decor tricks. Add a dash of lightheartedness, some creativity, and a group of good friends, and you'll design an affair to remember and still have enough time and energy to be the life of your own party. Here are Snyder's steps for a successful NYE bash..
Step 1: Forget formal invitations. Use Eventbrite.com and ask for RSVPs. It's the easiest way to get an idea of how many people you should expect so that you can plan accordingly.
Step 2: Evaluate your resources and make a plan that doesn't include overextending yourself. Even if you're prepared to do some cooking, don't make everything from scratch. Check out local restaurant carry-out specials and grocery store specials to create a simple yet fabulous homemade and resturaunt-bought spread.
Step 3: Music is such a powerful mood-maker that you can instantly turn a romantic rendezvous into a friend yelling "this is my favorite song!" kind of party with a quick switch of the song selection. Select music in advance according to the type of ambience you want to create. If you want people to dance, pick familiar favorites and scroll through the decades. Don't forget to dim the lights and include music for the big countdown.
Step 4: Thinking of other entertainment, make light of New Year’s resolutions by turning them into a guessing game. Give partygoers cards (download the New Year Playing Cards) and have guests finish the sentences with hopeful wishes― or have an adult only party and include Cards Against Humanity. Gather whichever cards suite your party needs and ring in the new year laughing out loud.
Step 5: Food + Drinks are a must to keep guests dancing and having fun! Include finger foods and appetizers that are easy to grab and eat. Don't forget the bubbly! Champagne is a celebratory staple + a NYE must-have. Also be sure to include other non-alcoholic options for guests as well.
Step 6: Haven't taken all of your Christmas decor down yet? No problem! Decorate the table with icicles, stars, or other silver, gold, or glittery decorations. A tinsel garland makes for a fantastic New Year's boa!
So many options for your New Years Eve celebration, so whatever you do, we hope that you have a ball bringing in 2017. We can't wait to press play in your life again next year! We're booking all event types for 2017 and dates are quickly disappearing, so contact us today to book your next event!
