Snyder Entertainment was excited to start off 2016 with our first wedding for the new year. Tara Dupre and Corey Church decided on a NYE wedding. I already know what you're thinking. What a great idea, right? Let's think about it- everyone has the next day off of work, everyone's in the mood to party, all of your guests officially have plans for the night, and no ones having to fight crowds, or expensive cover charges at restaurants and bars. A wedding is already the perfect occasion to celebrate, but a wedding on NYE takes the party to another level.
NYE weddings are special and should be treated as such, so when they began to plan, they looked to some of Nashville's premiere vendors. Tara and Corey said I do at The Cordelle, a locally historical and beautiful venue located downtown in Rutledge Hill. Regalo Design was selected for their award winning services for full wedding planning + decorating + floral arrangements. Photography was captured by the very talented Matt Andrews Photography. The videography captured the magic in the atmosphere that night, by Brandon Rice Films; his Vimeo link of the evening is posted below:
The ceremony was gorgeous, gold decor and sparkling lights lining the aisle, family and friends gathered around, and lights strung and sparkling behind the couple as they vowed to love one another forever. For the ceremony we used “Jesu, Joy of a Man’s Desiring” and “Canon in D” for the processionals. Tara wanted the Bridal March for her entrance but didn’t want the standard form in piano or organ. Snyder Entertainment's DJ, Brad Ford, used a beautiful version arranged and recorded by Jonathan Cain of Journey. It’s a beautiful moving piece with piano and strings that worked great with the other classical pieces that we used. The perfect addition for the non-traditional tradition!
Following the ceremony, guests were provided with food, drinks, and NYE party touches such as gold hats, party blow-horns, and champagne. The decor was very chic with metallic touches, vibrant red floral features, and a perfectly glam wedding cake. Cordelles' Great Hall was packed with accent + dance floor lighting, and of course Brad put together a top-quality NYE playlist which kept guests dancing until after midnight. Corey and Tara’s music picks for the reception were varied and reflected their guests quite well. To start the open dance Brad went with “Rock Around the Clock” by Bill Haley and the Comets which we thought was fitting for a night where everyone was actually watching the clock. Corey loved funk so we played a lot of Kool and Gang, Earth Wind and Fire, Lakeside, Carl Carlton and The Temptations. Tara and the girls loved the throwback club songs so there was a bit of Black Eye’d Peas, Sean Kingston and Flo-Rida.
Obviously a NYE night has to end with a bang, a great sendoff for the new couple, and a confetti-type celebration for the guests. Nothing less than the ultimate wow factor ended this couples night, including the always fun countdown to midnight, fireworks lighting up the skies over the reception area, family and friends lined on either sides of the bride + groom holding sparklers for the sendoff, and with a celebratory kiss of the new year and the newlyweds. Who can think of a better way to start 2016?
Congratulations Tara and Corey, we're so glad we were able to be apart of such a memorable night. Cheers!
